MFM announces panel descriptions and panelists for 2012 Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards Conference

MFM is pleased to announce the panel descriptions and panelists for the 2012 NOMFA Conference.  Panels planned for the conference cover a variety of industry topics such as social media, touring, funding opportunities, marketing, independent filmmaking and distribution among others. On the film side, many great panelists have been confirmed as well including Jason Priestley, Maguerite Pigott, Marie Masse and Casey Walker.  Jason Priestley is a Golden Globe nominated actor and director of television and documentary films.  He is best known as the virtuous Brandon Walsh on the hit television series Beverly Hills, 90210.  Marguerite Pigott handles pre-licensing of Canadian feature films and documentaries for Super Channel and directs a cross-country team of development executives to invest Super Channel’s Creative Development Fund.  Marie Masse is the director of content for web and television for the TFO Media Group.  Casey Walker is a producer and director who is currently touring both the US and Canada with his first feature film A Little Bit Zombie.  For a complete listing of this year’s panelists, please click here

As a part of the Conference, one-on-one sessions with panelists are offered for those who have purchased a Conference pass.  The sessions will be scheduled in 15 minute blocks and will run from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28th at the Quality Inn in Senate Room 2.
