Registration is now open for the New Voices Video Storytelling Workshop, a free workshop series for newcomer youth ages 11–19 living in North Bay and surrounding communities.

This workshop is part of the New Voices Co-Design Lab, a program that supports newcomer youth in exploring storytelling, media creation, and creative expression through hands-on workshops.

About the Workshop Series

Every story deserves to be told.

The Video Storytelling Workshop invites youth to explore storytelling through video while building creative confidence in a welcoming and supportive environment. Participants will explore storytelling through video while experimenting with professional DJI cameras and media equipment to create original video projects inspired by their own ideas, experiences, and perspectives.

Whether you’re new to video creation or already enjoy making content, this workshop is designed to encourage creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.

No previous experience is required. Just bring curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to try something new!

Who Can Participate

• Newcomer youth ages 11–19
• Living in North Bay and the surrounding communities
• Open to beginners. No previous media experience is required.

Workshop Details

Dates: Saturday mornings from July 25 to September 19, 2026 (No workshop on September 5.)
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Location: Near North Makerspace, 108 Main Street East, North Bay
Cost: FREE!

Bus tickets will be provided for participants who require transportation.
