On May 16, community members, participants, friends, and families gathered at the Near North Makerspace for the latest New Voices Showcase event.

The showcase featured a collection of youth-created digital storytelling projects developed through the New Voices Co-Design Lab. Throughout the evening, attendees had the opportunity to view presentations, screenings, and creative media projects created by participants during the workshop series.

The New Voices Co-Design Lab provides newcomer and refugee youth with opportunities to explore storytelling, digital media, collaboration, and creative expression through hands-on workshops and mentorship. The showcase celebrated the creativity, confidence, and hard work participants brought to their projects.

We would like to thank everyone who came out to support the participants and celebrate their work. Events like these help create meaningful opportunities for youth to share their stories, connect with community members, and build new creative skills.
