Near North Mobile Media Lab (N2M2L) is hiring a Newcomer Youth Creative Media Facilitator to lead the New Voices Co-Design Lab. This project will engage newcomer youth in North Bay in planning, selecting, and delivering a series of 8-week creative media workshops in our Makerspace.
About the Project
The New Voices Co-Design Lab will bring newcomer youth (ages 12–19) together to imagine, plan, and participate in creative media arts workshops at the Near North Makerspace. Through hands-on activities like podcasting, video production, and zine-making, youth will explore new skills, share stories, and collaborate with peers. The project begins with co-design sessions where participants help shape the workshop content, followed by a series of structured creative media workshops and community showcase events celebrating youth creativity.
About N2M2L and the Near North Makerspace
The Near North Mobile Media Lab (N2M2L) is a non-profit, artist-run centre that has been supporting media artists and creative communities in Northern Ontario for over 20 years.
